Asked first,
then cut.

Most bad haircuts start with a photo on a phone and nobody saying the hair in it is a different texture to yours. Two minutes of honest conversation prevents a month of regret.

How we work

A Sheffield shop, careful about hygiene

Noirco Barbers Ltd is a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 15009049, incorporated in July 2023, trading from 32 High Street, Sheffield S17 3GU.

Tools are cleaned and disinfected between every client and razor blades are single use, without exception. Hot towel shaving puts a blade on skin, so tell us about skin conditions, cold sores, recent facial treatments or blood-thinning medication — we would rather decline a service than cause a problem. Anything involving dye or bleach needs a patch test at least 48 hours beforehand, and we will not skip it however inconvenient.

Frequently asked

The questions we get most

Do I need an appointment?

Not necessarily — walk in and we will fit you in when a chair is free. At weekends an appointment is worth having, because the wait can be long.

Can you do the cut in this photo?

We will tell you honestly. Hair texture, density and growth pattern decide a lot, and the person in the photo may simply have different hair to yours.

Is a hot towel shave safe for me?

Usually, but tell us about skin conditions, cold sores, recent facial treatments or blood thinners first. Sometimes the right answer is to wait, and we will say so.

Why do I need a patch test for colour?

Because reactions to hair dye can be severe, and manufacturers require a test at least 48 hours in advance. We will not skip it, even if you have had colour elsewhere before.

Do you cut children's hair?

Yes, booked into quieter slots with a parent present. If a child has had enough we stop — a first visit they will come back from matters more than a perfect cut.

Are your tools cleaned between clients?

Yes, cleaned and disinfected every time, and razor blades are single use. It is worth asking this anywhere you go.

Due a cut?

Book a chair, or walk in and we will fit you in when one is free.
